Dwight Evans is an American professional baseball player. He was a right fielder who played for the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles in Major League Baseball (MLB).
Dwight is the son of Marie and Duff Evans. He is married to Susan, with whom he has had three children. His grandson, Ryan Berardino, is also a professional baseball player.
Dwight’s paternal grandfather was David Lionel Evans (the son of George Coleman Evans and Agnes Louisa Taylor). George was the son of David Evans, who was of Welsh, Scots-Irish/Northern Irish, and English descent, and of Rebecca Coleman, who was English. Agnes was the daughter of English parents, William Whitehead Taylor and Nanny Standring.
