Sigma releases music video for 'High On You' featuring John Newman
Lockdown love is in the air in the music video for ‘High On You’, the incredible new collaboration from Sigma and John Newman.
Premiered on OfficialCharts.com, the visual for ‘High On You’ follows a blossoming romance between two neighbours during lockdown. Directed by Crooked Cynics, the hilarious visual showcases the highs and lows experienced during this unprecedented time as we witness the ways in which the two spend their time at home.
Thanks to its tongue-in-cheek nature, the visual will no doubt resonate with many. However, whilst there are plenty of funny scenes to be had throughout, the video also emphasises the importance of communication at such a difficult time, especially if you’ve been living on your own.
Speaking about the video, Sigma said: “It was really hard to get a video done in the lockdown period, but we knew that we wanted to do one which reflected the frustrations of this horrible time we are going through, but we wanted to show it in a comedic way.
“The video has captured those in lockdown alone perfectly, it’s very tongue in cheek. Personally, it’s probably one of our favourite videos to date and we hope everyone else can either relate or have a laugh watching it.”
Alongside the video, Sigma have also unveiled the VIP remix of ‘High On You’. The thrilling remix had its radio debut on Rene LaVice’s BBC Radio 1 show and is available to download and stream now.
‘High On You’ follows on from Sigma’s previous release, ‘Rest of My Life’ featuring Shakka. The duo are best known for their number one singles ‘Nobody To Love’ and ‘Changing’ featuring Paloma Faith, as well as collaborations with Rita Ora, Birdy, Ella Henderson and Louisa.
